Bloomfield Pride was established in 2016 as an advisory committee to the Bloomfield Town Council by Dr. Wartyna Davis, Councilwoman. In June, 2016 Mayor Michael Venezia and the Town Council unanimously approved the first-ever proclamation of June as Gay Pride Month for the Township of Bloomfield, NJ.

OUR MISSION

Bloomfield Pride works to celebrate, educate and advocate for the LGBTQ+ residents of Bloomfield, NJ. Our mission is to create and maintain Bloomfield as a place that is welcoming, inclusive, and safe for all people. The committee hosts cultural and educational events, advises the Town Council, and serves as a resource for LGBTQ+ residents and local advocacy groups.
